The new iteration of The X-Files just left Fox for the season. But today on BBC America, the original incarnation of the show, from the 1990s, is rolled out in order, as BBC America welcomes Chris Carter’s long-running paranormal drama to its lineup. The pilot episode of The X-Files, with the show’s first incident involving a UFO, is televised at 11 a.m. ET, with other episodes from the show’s first and second season played in sequence, uninterrupted, until 7 p.m. ET Sunday.

If you’re looking for the Final Four, or even Monday’s championship game, on CBS this year, you won’t find it. This year, the biggest college basketball games of the year, tonight and Monday, are on TBS. The first of two games played today, starting at 6 p.m. ET on TBS, pits West No. 3 seed Michigan against South No. 11 seed Loyola-Chicago. Only three other teams seeded eleventh ever made the Final Four (no No. 12 seeds got that far), and none of those teams advanced, so Loyola

Because ABC is presenting an installment of American Idol on Easter Sunday, its annual telecast of this 1956 biblical epic is presented tonight instead. Charlton Heston stars as Moses, but don’t forget about Yvonne De Carlo. The future co-star of The Munsters plays the woman whose name launched a fleet of cosmetics stores: Sephora.

TCM is devoting tonight’s schedule to biblical films, too, and begins the evening with this 1965 epic about the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. Max von Sydow, who later wielded a crucifix in The Exorcist, stars as Jesus – and David McCallum (pictured), at this point already famous as Illya Kuryakin on The Man from U.N.C.L.E., plays Judas Iscariot.

Analyzing the whys and wherefores of Roseanne’s mega-ratings splash on ABC Tuesday night apparently is the solemn duty of every TV critic and political pundit in your land/my land...

The sixth and final season of FX’s The Americans could also be called, or at least subtitled, Communist vs. Capitalist. Or more specifically, Elizabeth Jennings (Keri Russell) vs. her husband, Philip (Matthew Rhys)...

SEASON PREMIERE: Daniel Handler’s Unfortunate Events books, written under his playful pen name of Lemony Snicket, are delightfully dark. And so is this series, which returns for Season 2 picking up just where it left off in the sordid series about three orphaned children. The first two episodes are given to “The Austere Academy,” in which the siblings’ nemesis, Count Olaf, infiltrates their dour new school as a gym teacher with questionably Far East origins. SERIES PREMIERE: Bryan Cranston not only is one of the executive producers of this show – he’s one of the writers, too, and adapted several of this first season’s clips. It’s about three sons whose father dies, but who leaves them a book in which he crams all the wisdom and other stuff he feels they should know. It’s part fantasy, part comedy, and part heartwarming little story – not as good or as dark as Unfortunate Events, but worth a try.

This isn’t a good show at all – and even in an era of reboots, where we just brought Roseanne back, this modern Dynasty doesn’t have much of a purpose. But way back then, the original Dynasty on ABC didn’t have any oomph until Joan Collins joined the cast and shook things up as Blake Carrington’s bitchy ex-wife, Alexis. And in tonight’s new episode, called “Alexis Returns,” that character makes her first appearance in this new series version &ndash

In this new episode, the folks from S.H.I.E.L.D., in trying to escape from the disastrous time loop in which they’ve been stuck, find themselves forced to pair with the unlikeliest of allies: the folks from H.Y.D.R.A. And no, I don’t know what either acronym means. But U.N.C.L.E., that one I still remember…
