No, Hulu’s National Treasure doesn’t serialize the popular movie of the same name. It would be less disquieting to watch if it did...

MINISERIES FINALE: This last chapter of Spy in the Wild, which has been a lot of fun, pulls back the curtain to reveal, in an installment titled “Meet the Creatures,” exactly how these very realistic animatronic “spies” were designed and operated. Check local listings.

Night II. It’s significant that ABC is presenting this four-part miniseries on the rise and development of the gay rights movement – and even more significant, in context, that it’s preceded by a fresh episode of Modern Family, the ABC sitcom that arguably has done more for gay rights, and subtle shaping of national attitudes and acceptance on the gay rights issue, than any other TV program since NBC’s Will and Grace.

SERIES PREMIERE: Carl Weathers is one of the stars of this latest Chicago-set series from executive producer Dick Wolf, who has managed to create durable and popular franchises out of drama series set in two different cities. First New York, and now the so-called Second City. For a full review, see David Hinckley's All Along the Watchtower.

This fourth episode of Noah Hawley’s newest TV series is the first one I haven’t seen in advance – and boy, I can’t wait to see what happens, as the staff trying to help David (Dan Stevens) has a difficult time assessing his powers, potential, and limitations.

SPECIAL: Conan O’Brien is on the road again, and, like Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, he does some of his very best work interacting with everyday people in various locations. For this latest special, he goes to Mexico – where, among other activities, he tries to raise money from Mexican cities to help build the border wall.

TCM is up to the Vs in its alphabetical salute to the Oscars, and that leaves room, in prime time, for tonight’s showing of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1958 moody masterpiece, Vertigo. James Stewart plays a man with an almost twisted obsession with a former love, and Kim Novak plays the embodiment of that lost love – in more ways than one.

We’ve been fans of Nature’s recent miniseries Spy in the Wild... This clip from episode 4, “Bad Behavior” follows a gang of teenaged male dolphins. Seems the lads are like most youths, unruly and too rambunctious for orderly family life. So what do they do? Surf and hang out in gangs, of course – and spend some time playing ping pong with a puffer fish. But it also turns out they might be getting a bit of a gas, too..

To many Americans outside the LGBTQ movement, “gay rights” blew in like a tornado out of nowhere...
