This season, Orphan Black has been segregating its clones, letting us spend more time with fewer of them each episode, and we’ve been richer for it. And just when you think that Tatiana Maslany has been put through too much of a wringer as the imprisoned Helena, it’s time to shift back to the comfort of the suburbs, and Alison’s new storefront concern – which comes with built-in dangers of its own.

Tonight’s guests include George Clooney, who’s promoting Tomorrowland, but does it while recounting some of the favorite pranks he’s pulled over the years on buddy Brad Pitt. Also on tonight’s show: Hugh Laurie, who listens to Clooney’s stories with a mixture of what appears to be equal parts admiration and horror.

Most of the cheap-to-produce network summer shows are total tossaways. This one isn’t, and its return always is welcome. A show that reliably can make you laugh out loud? Not many sitcoms today can do that – and this is all improv.

My answer to that question, so long as ABC keeps making this series, is: Change the channel.

The Boston Symphony Orchestra has its new music director and conductor, number 15 in its storied history. It’s Andris Nelsons, who begins his tenure by inviting two close associates, soprano Kristine Opolais and tenor Jonas Kaufmann, who help him perform some of his favorite works, starting with the piece that made Nelsons, at age 5, want to pursue music: Wagner’s Tannhauser Overture. David Oyelowo, who starred as Martin Luther King, Jr. in Selma, stars in this one-man, one-setting show, playing a U.S. Army vet living in a suburban house that he never leaves, and experiencing the fabric of reality rending around him.

Never mind the veep. Is America ready for a female president? To anyone who lives outside the U.S. it’s a silly question...

Though many a symphony season-ticket holder might protest the following as unsophisticated and lazy, a great place to watch and appreciate a classical concert is in front of a good TV set during an expertly directed production...

SEASON FINALE: At least I think this is the finale. But honestly, the way ABC has been staggering the original installments of this series, I’m not entirely certain. What I do know, at this point, is that 500 Questions is more worthy of a simple notation than any sort of hearty recommendation. So here’s the ending, maybe, if you’re interested.
