Two of my favorite films are shown tonight as a double feature, with a related theme: movies and journalism. Ben Mankiewicz is the presiding TCM host, and his guest, for this month-long Thursday night tour of movies and the media, is Carl Bernstein, the former Washington Post reporter who is portrayed by Dustin Hoffman in tonight’s first featured film, 1976’s brilliant Watergate investigation drama, All the President’s Men, at 8 p.m. ET. After that, at 10:30, it’s 1941&rs

SEASON PREMIERE: Season 2 of this Australian series arrives just after its premiere last month Down Under. Once again, it’s a sort of intense, Aussie-accented House of Cards, but with a different political scandal. As with Season 1, stars include the dynamic (and, to American viewers, quite familiar) Anna Torv and Jacki Weaver.

In this second episode of ABC’s new spy series, Will (Dylan Walsh) is assigned to seduce the widow of a notorious shipping tycoon in order to uncover some of his secrets – but Frankie (Lauren Cohan) isn’t sure he’s up to the task.

Last week, Documentary Now! Presented what may be my absolute favorite of its documentary intricate spoof: Co-Op, a letter-perfect, and note-perfect, lampoon of the documentary about  the recording of the original Broadway cast soundtrack of Stephen Sondheim’s Company. Tonight, the documentary being satirized is Marina Abramovic: The Artist Is Present, about the life and art of a particularly and peculiarly devoted performance artist. In Waiting for the Artist, Cate Blanchett portrays

’m not enjoying The Voice this season — not so far, anyway. They say numbers don’t lie, and there’s no evidence yet to suggest other viewers are losing interest. And yet. . . . Little things are starting to bother me....

The fourth night of “the blinds” – the most exhilarating part of this music competition show – are televised tonight. There are additional nights of the blinds, so many more than there used to be when this series began, because the producers know where the show’s strengths are. And also know that, between the drama and the editing, these early rounds are the best way to showcase not only the singers, but the judges – as, this cycle, new Voice judge John Legend

After another brief absence from the NBC Tuesday lineup, This Is Us returns with a new episode – and with, of course, some flashbacks, in which, this week, the “Big Three” siblings are scheduled to graduate from high school.

The third round of blind auditions for this latest cycle is presented tonight – and after all these cycles, The Voice still manages to throw in a fresh wrinkle or two. So far this year, for example, the judges, for the first time, were faced with (or, really, facing away from) a trio. And really, shouldn’t they be booked on a different show – called The Voices?

Part 2. This is the concluding, and most emotional, part of filmmaker Dan Reed’s documentary about two now-grown men who, as adults, have accused Michael Jackson of sexually abusing them when they were young children. It’s not at all an easy TV show to watch – especially tonight’s concluding part, which includes interviews with the two men’s spouses – but it’s an important one to see. For my full review on NPR’s Fresh Air with Terry Gross, visit th

Amy (Saniyya Sidney) is showing signs of being about to turn. Yet Brad (Mark-Paul Goselaar) is at her side, hoping to prevent that from happening.
