At a time when huge teams of writers script nearly every moment of late night comedy shows, with filmed bits are carefully shot in advance The Chris Gethard Show adheres to the fearless, no-net thrills of live TV...

I don’t suspect that “Who killed Miss Grundy?” is going to ignite the same sort of pop-culture furor as “Who killed Laura Palmer?” – but Archie’s former teacher (and, in this steamier CW adaptation of the Archie comic universe, his lover as well) was indeed killed last week in this show’s Season 2 premiere. The culprit, who shot (but not fatally) Archie’s father in last season’s finale, is now known as the Black Hood. But, for now, that

Game 4. The Los Angeles Dodgers are ahead in this series 3-0, and can clinch tonight if it can take a fourth game in a row from the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs are hosting at Wrigley Field – but that didn’t help much in Game 3.

This doubleheader of documentary shorts from Frontline looks at two different battleground hot spots. Mosul accompanies four soldiers in an Iraqi Special Forces team fighting against ISIS in Mosul. Inside Yemen is longtime Frontline filmmaker Martin Smith’s account of the battle between a military coalition led by Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthi rebels. Check local listings.

Two key questions were answered in last week’s Season 3 premiere. Elliot is alive, and Mr. Robot is alive, too. All other questions? Most of them got murkier, depending upon which universe you happen to be watching. Or believing.

Game 3. The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Chicago Cubs in the first two games of this year’s National League Championship Series, both of which were played at Dodger Stadium. Today, the action shifts to one of the most famous ballparks in all of baseball: Chicago’s Wrigley Field, where home-field advantage shifts to the Cubs. And it’s a day game, too, which for someone old enough to remember when all postseason games were played as the sun shone, is something magical.

Last night’s opening Battle Round was a good one, ending with a duel that carried unexpected resonance beyond the performances themselves. The song selected by coach Adam Levine as a duet battle for his final two contestants of the night was “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.” When these Battle Rounds were taped, Tom Petty, who recorded this hit song with Stevie Nicks and the Heartbreakers, was still alive and well. Hearing the song as an unintentional posthumous tribute was

Game 4. Home field has been good to the American League as well this season. The Houston Astros, hosting the first two games against the New York Yankees, won them both. Game 3, played Monday night at Yankee Stadium, was won by the home team as well – with the Yankees trouncing the Astros, 8-1. And now comes Game 4, played once again in New York.
