Tuesday (Sept. 15) was Agatha Christie’s 125th birthday, which is as good a time as any to trot out TV shows featuring a couple of her more obscure sleuths, Tommy and Tuppence Beresford...

Next week is the start of the fall 2015 TV season, and brings with it new episodes of all of TV producer Shonda Rhimes’ Thursday night dramas. So if you need a refresher, or are thinking this may be the year you tune in to see what all the fuss is about, tonight’s the night to watch ABC. All three of her prime-time shows are repeating their most recent season finales – beginning with the Season 11 finale of Grey’s Anatomy, continuing at 9 p.m. ET with the Season 4 finale

One night after he sat on stage at the Reagan Library with 10 other presidential hopefuls, Donald Trump is shown, in this repeat from four years ago, sharing another type of stage with another group of potential adversaries entirely. Seth MacFarlane hosts this roast of Donald Trump, and the roasters include Gilbert Gottfried, Whitney Cummings, Larry King, Marlee Matlin, and Jeff Ross. It’s worth watching, especially in retrospect, to see Trump’s pre-politician character, and what he

SEASON FINALE: The first season of this new Denis Leary series ends, as it should, with a focus on the rise of Gigi (Elizabeth Gillies). The actress playing her, a Nickelodeon graduate, has proven to be as strong a comedic actress as she is a singer – and anyone who can stand toe-to-toe with Leary in fast-moving dialogue scenes, as she can, is quite an asset.

This 1956 movie isn’t shown often on TV, but it’s one of those movies that’s lots of fun to watch, because it’s so woefully miscast and poorly written. Howard Hughes was the man behind this debacle, which chose, as its leading man in this biography of Genghis Khan, none other than… John Wayne. Khan you believe it? Not really. Not for a moment.

Former Hewlett-Packard chief executive Carly Fiorina is moving up from the kids’ table, joining the Top 10 candidates in tonight’s prime-time Republican presidential debate – televised this time by CNN. The remaining four Republican candidates will appear in a mini-debate at 6 p.m., but for that one, the whole world is not watching. In prime time, the top three, based on all qualifying polls for the month since the first debate on Fox News, are Donald Trump, Ben Carson and Jeb

SEASON FINALE: On CNN tonight, it’s one kind of popularity contest. Here on NBC, it’s another, as the network presents the winner of cycle number 10. A one-hour summary of the final acts is followed by a two-hour live finale, in which America chooses among a couple of comics, a couple of magicians, a mentalist, a ventriloquist and a few other acts, including some singers and one, um, regurgitator. If you watch only one America’s Got Talent this season, this is the one. But if y
