As if we needed further reminders that the Good Old Days of the early and mid-20th centuries weren’t so good at all for a lot of people, Smithsonian has dusted off a fascinating publication called The Green Book...

NBC’s new The Enemy Within clones its premise from The Blacklist then changes pretty much all the details. That helps it feel fresh. It also feels like it’s taking a bit of a gamble...

Since the beginning of time, or at least the beginning of television, a cop drama doesn’t have to aim high to entertain. London Kills is simply a solid, fast-paced drama with stories and characters we can enjoy watching...

It’s been a while, but NBC once made a nice prime-time living by mixing espionage and one-liners in quippy/trippy series such as I Spy, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and The Girl From U.N.C.L.E. Now it’s all a very serious business...

In tonight’s new episode, the illicit romance between the upstairs married guest of Queen Victoria’s court and the queen’s handsome footman is revealed. Also, there’s a pitched political battle between two of the men in Victoria’s life, and she has to decide which of them to back. Her loyalties, especially regarding her husband, should be clear – but her real aim may be pointing at a different target entirely. Check local listings.

Last week, we learned all about Samantha Morton’s character of Alpha, though it took a few flashbacks, from a few different perspectives, to get at the scary truth. Obviously, Alpha is arriving to become this season’s Big Bad, now that Negan is loose and ostensibly neutered – and Alpha, leading a band of survivors who walk among the undead and wear their skinned faces as masks, is very very bad indeed.

SEASON FINALE: Now that we’ve learned of the dark secret shared by the former detectives, will tonight’s final episode of Season 3 provide closure? Or even a fittingly acceptable conclusion? For this series, the record so far is 1 out of 2, so the odds are even, either way…
