SPECIAL: Please watch, and record, this. We’ve showcased some of James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” segments here on TVWW as Video Worth Watching – particularly his effervescent car ride and musical duet with Adele, whose reaction to the bit, and to Corden, is a total delight to watch. The first time he harmonizes with her, she shoots him a glance as if to say, “Whoa!” – and the singing, if not the car, shifts into high gear. Watch that segment, repe

Episode 9. This is the penultimate episode of this series, and the one in which the invective-filled tapes of Det. Mark Fuhrman, who had denied ever using the “N-word,” are uncovered, and played in court.

On the big screen, DC Comics superheroes Batman and Superman are battling one another – but on TV, two other DC costumed superheroes, Supergirl and The Flash, are making nice. So much so that they’re appearing together tonight in a crossover episode that manages to cross over two different networks. Greg Berlanti is executive producer of both CW’s The Flash and CBS’s Supergirl, and both Grant Gustin (The Flash) and Melissa Benoist (Supergirl) worked together on Fox’

Tonight’s show begins the knockout phase of the contest – and showing up for the action tonight, and to help, is Miley Cyrus. What this act needs, I can imagine her saying, is more tongue…

Last week, Jim Gordon was sent to prison, framed for murder by the future Riddler, and the Penguin seemed happy, meeting his new family in-laws. But tonight, both plots thicken: Friends of Gordon’s seek to exonerate him, and the new mother and siblings of the Penguin (pictured) move in to double-cross him, or worse…

The Honest Liar of the title in tonight’s documentary is The Amazing Randi, the magician who, like a few famous magicians before him, has used his talents to sniff out charlatans. He’s also been an actor on Deadwood, among other things, which is why this profile is particularly interesting. Check local listings.

Last week, I admitted I was two weeks behind on this show, one of my absolute favorites. That’s no longer true. Now I’m three weeks behind. But when I finally get the chance to mini-binge and catch up, boy, will that be a fun stretch of TV viewing. Meanwhile, whatever’s happening on this show, tonight it continues to happen.

Grantchester, which returns Sunday for its second season, reminds us how PBS’s Masterpiece Theater earned its reputation. Just because every show doesn’t have the intangible magic of the late lamented Downton Abbey doesn’t mean a Grantchester, charmingly set in the 1950s, isn’t well worth the time...

Last night, in Saturday’s half of the Elite Eight games, No. 1 seed Oregon fell to No. 2 seed Oklahoma. Then, in the second game, No. 1 seed Kansas lost to No. 2 seed Villanova, in a fiercely fought contest. Tonight, the remaining two No. 1 seeds try to avoid similar upsets and make it to the Final Four, in games televised by TBS. At 6 p.m. ET, it’s No. 1 Virginia vs. No. 10 Syracuse, followed at 8:45 p.m. ET by No. 1 North Carolina vs. No. 6 Notre Dame.
