Selina Meyer is usually seen making the wrong move at every turn, like a political Basil Fawlty. But last week, during a televised presidential debate, she stumbled accidentally on a right move, by, in a frustrated and unchecked moment, telling her younger female competitor to quit whining and “man up.” Not a politically correct thing to say, which was precisely why it seemed to resonate – and may have saved Selina’s campaign.
