In the post-Jurassic Park era of special effects, the images in this 1933 adventure movie may seem quaint, and even comical at times. But imagine what it must have been like, just six years after the cinema gave us sound, to sit in a darkened movie theater and watch the events of this fantastic fantasy film unfurl. King Kong!
