MINISERIES PREMIERE: Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin wrote his novella Nightflyers in 1980, and watched it turn into a lackluster movie version in 1987. The contract for the movie rights of that novella also included the TV rights – and three decades later, after the mega-success of Thrones, Syfy has inherited those rights and produced this new miniseries, which rolls out nightly over the next two weeks.
