SERIES PREMIERE: This is either a series premiere or a reboot of Roseanne, which itself was a reboot of the earlier Roseanne. Most TV series don’t get three trips to the plate – and this time, the team’s star player has misplayed herself out of the rotation. But we still have John Goodman as Dan Conner, and that, along with curiosity about exactly how Roseanne Barr will be written out of her own show, should give this opener a high audience tune-in number. The real test, for the show and for ABC, will arrive next week.
