70TH PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS

Michael Che and Colin Jost are the hosts. AMC’s Better Call Saul isn’t eligible this year, because shows eligible for Emmys this year had to have televised episodes in the year-long window from June 1 to May 31. Netflix’s Mindhunter is eligible, but was frustratingly snubbed. So, almost completely, was FX’s Legion, which means that three of my favorite shows of late aren’t getting the notice they deserve. Neither, to be honest, is Showtime’s uneven but still noteworthy, and nomination-worthy, Twin Peaks: The Return. But tonight are the 2018 Emmys, so let’s see what happens. And who wins.
