PGA CHAMPIONSHIP
August 11, 2018  | By David Bianculli

Various Networks, 8:00 a.m. ET

Because rain forced suspension of yesterday’s round two, the conclusion of that round is being played early today, with coverage available beginning at 8 a.m. ET on TNT. Second-round coverage yesterday, also on TNT, was fun to watch, and once again, Tiger Woods, who scored only a par round on day one, began day two with a vengeance, notching three birdies in seven holes before inclement weather rained on his parade. (When Woods resumed play this morning, his first hole resulted in another birdie, putting him at 4 under par as I type this.) When Day 3 play, and coverage, starts officially today, it’ll start on TNT (presumably around 12:15 p.m. ET), then shift to CBS at 2 p.m. ET. Gary Woodland leads the field at 10 under par as today’s play began.
