This is not a recommendation. This is Season 20 of Big Brother, which is noteworthy in itself – noteworthy in a depressing way, because I loathe this show. But it’s also noteworthy because this season’s host, the same person who hosted all 19 previous incarnations of Big Brother, is Julie Chen. She got the job chiefly because of her husband, CBS top executive Les Moonves, who has been in the news of late for other reasons entirely – but Chen released a statement standing by her husband unequivocally, despite multiple allegations of sexual harassment. One irony here, potentially, is that the alleged drama of Big Brother has to do with throwing someone out of the house…
