On NBC, there’s scheduled live coverage of three major, or at least majorly popular, Winter Olympics events, in the 8 p.m.-12:30 a.m. ET block. There’s the downhill gold medal final in women’s alpine skiing, the ladies’ short program in figure skating, and the big air competition in men’s snowboarding – a sport which already has resulted in one broken neck at this year’s games.
