SERIES PREMIERE: This latest CBS summer sci-fi diversion is another in the sub-genre of asteroids on a collision course with Earth. An MIT grad student (Charlie Howe, pictured) discovers that a giant asteroid is heading our way, and due to collide in six months. It’s a fact the government already knows, but, while trying to come up with a planet-saving solution, tries to downplay as fake news. The real news here is that six months is much longer than this summer series is scheduled to run, so expect either a sped-up narrative – or a cliffhanger. For a full review, see David Hinckley's All Along the Watchtower.
