SNEAK PREVIEW: This new series, set in Miami in 1959, premieres officially next week, but Starz is serving up the opening hour tonight as a sneak preview. So here’s sneak preview of my next-week review: Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a dapper, smoldering lead as the owner of the Miramar Playa Hotel, and the Mad Men meets Miami Vice vibe is captured beautifully in almost every frame. However, the writing sinks the effort in almost every scene, making this new show much more impressive as a series of postcards, or screen savers, than as an actual, involving drama. But here it is, if you want an early taste.
