DALLAS

TNT, 9:00 p.m. ET

SERIES PREMIERE: The first incarnation of this series ran on CBS from 1978-91, made Larry Hagman an international TV icon as J.R. Ewing, and defined America abroad as much as anyone or anything else during the Reagan era. And now it’s back, with a new generation of stars and characters – but with Hagman, Patrick Duffy (as Bobby) and Linda Gray (as Sue Ellen) back for more. And Hagman, alone, makes it worth the second visit. For reviews and reactions, please read veteran Dallas TV critic Ed Bark's take in Uncle Barky's Bytes HERE, and business historian David Sicilia's assessment of the old and new Dallas in TV Moneyland HERE.
