Two Sirs Who Love
April 15, 2013  | By Christy Slewinski

British acting legends Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Derek Jacobi have teamed up for a new sitcom, Vicious, which makes its debut later this month on Britian's ITV network. The openly-gay stars of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and a TVWW favorite, I Claudius, respectively, portray long-time gay partners living in England's Covent Gardens district. Frances de la Tour, perhaps best known to American audiences as Madame Maxime from the Harry Potter film series, co-stars. Vicious was created by Gary Janetti, a former producer with Will & Grace and Family Guy. There's no word on when — or if — the series will be released in the U.S.
