1996: CBS Presents the Miniseries 'In Cold Blood'
November 24, 2020  | By TV WW  | 5 comments

On this day in 1996, CBS presented a miniseries version of Truman Capote's celebrated nonfiction crime novel, In Cold Blood.

The four-hour film — which starred ER's Anthony Edwards as Dick Hickock and Eric Roberts as Perry Smith and Sam Neill as Kansas Bureau of Investigation detective Alvin Dewey — was different from the 1967 film starring Robert Blake and Scott Wilson in that it focused more strongly on the killers' victims, and the police who conducted the investigation into the horrific crime.

When TVWW mentions these “anniversary” items, I wonder why you do this.
Other than as reminders of TV History, they are not very useful.

If you were to include whether and where the above film and mini-series were available, them they might be more than nostalgic.
Thanks
