The series starred Patty Duke as Karen Matthews, a fortysomething divorcée who begins dating a 28-year-old caterer, played by Lewis Smith. Future Lois & Clark and Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher played Matthews' college-age daughter, Laura. Lainie Kazan played Karen's supportive friend, Claire.

Thirteen episodes were made, but only nine were aired.
