1958: The Andy Williams Show
July 3, 2020  | By TV WW

On this day in 1958, ABC introduced The Andy Williams Show, a summer replacement series for The Pat Boone—Chevy Showroom.

The 13-week musical variety show featured crooner Williams, along with performers such as Dick Van Dyke, The Bob Hamilton Trio and The Mort Lindsey Orchestra.

The following summer, another Andy Williams Show aired - this time on CBS, as a replacement for The Garry Moore Show. In 1962, Williams graduated to his own regular season show, also called The Andy Williams Show, on NBC.
