The First Promo for 'Katie'
One of TV's most fa-s-s-s-s-s-scinating open questions this fall is whether Katie Couric's new September talk show, Katie, will bloom or bomb.
The official first promo for Katie was just released. Her trademark wide grin is front and center, with Couric happily mixing with regular folks in some sort of far-fetched fantasy world to the beat of Colbie Caillat's catchy pop tune, "Brighter Than the Sun."
Couric didn't translate as anchor of the CBS Evening News, which spent five years in third place under her reign. This new show intends to play up her Today show strengths, which which basically boil down to being bubbly, giggly and inquisitive.
