The latest edition of The Late Late Show host James Corden’s singalong karaoke car rides is with Adele, and this one is super-sized. It’s fifteen minutes long, they’re riding around London, and their repertoire ranges from Adele’s first and most recent hit to a bit of hip-hop, and even a blast from the past with a high-energy Spice Girls cover. And through it all, Adele keeps casting sidelong glances at Corden, when he harmonizes or hits high notes. “You’re really very good,” she tells him – and they talk, and they laugh, and he interviews her – and basically, he’s taken his talk show on the road, and come up with 15 minutes of pure, giddy joy. – David Bianculli
