FALL FLASH: Premiere Dates for CBS

Latest to pin down fall debut dates: CBS.

The new comedy 2 Broke Girls gets a big Monday night curiosity tune-in following Ashton Kutcher's arrival on Two and a Half Men, while The Good Wife moves to Sunday following The Amazing Race and leading in to CSI: Miami. (Big question: Why?)

CBS launches its 2011-12 season mostly during Nielsen's official premiere week. Displaying its customary efficiency, the network gets everything going in a mere 16 days.

Here's the CBS rundown (all times ET):

WEDNESDAY, Sept. 14
8-9 p.m. - Survivor: South Pacific (season premiere)

MONDAY, Sept. 19
8-8:30 p.m. - How I Met Your Mother (season premiere)
9-9:30 p.m. - Two And A Half Men (season premiere)
9:30-10 p.m. - 2 Broke Girls (series premiere)
10-11 p.m. - Hawaii Five-0 (season premiere)

TUESDAY, Sept. 20
8-9 p.m. - NCIS (season premiere)
9-10 p.m. - NCIS: Los Angeles (season premiere)
10-11 p.m. - Unforgettable (series premiere)

Hope you're going to repeat this stuff, or post links to it somewhere fairly obvious, closer to September. I know we're getting closer to Sept than I like to think (July? Seriously?), but I'd love to see this info when I'm actually setting up my DVR recordings for Sept. :-)

I watch "The Good Wife" but on-demand; it's usually available the day after airing. Time Warner has "CBS On-Demand"; Cablevision has "Fox On-Demand." Why can't the cable companies carry them both?

[Diane here: The answer is that at least one does. But you'll have to move to a Comcast-wired area. The cabler that now owns NBC also offers on-demand shows from ABC, CBS and Fox.]
