CHOREOGRAPHED POLICE WORK
October 16, 2014  | By Eric Gould

There will be a new complete series collection of Reno 911 coming out next month (you can pre-order here).  The 2003-09 Comedy Central series parodied COPS-like police reality shows in a mockumentary, single-camera style with the actors improvising a lot of the dialogue. Led by former members of the MTV sketch comedy show The State, not much was out of bounds for the politically incorrect show, with the inept officers encountering an ever-shifting cast of perps, survivalists and crooked politicians. We're returning here to one of our fave throwback 911 clips, the roadside sobriety exam of a suspected drunk driver that turns the usual balance test into something with a little more flair. Never gets old. --Eric Gould
