2015 WORLD SERIES
October 27, 2015  | By David Bianculli

Fox, 8:00 p.m. ET

The last time the New York Mets were in the World Series, representing the National League, the Twin Towers were still standing: It was in 2000, where they lost the so-called Subway series to the New York Yankees. The last time the Kansas City Royals were in the World Series, representing the American League, it was… last year. The Royals fought for seven games, but finally lost to the San Francisco Giants. And starting tonight in Kansas City, the Royals and Mets fight for the 2015 World Series crown, with some of the fastest pitching squads in baseball history – and with batters with reputations for getting balls in play. Game 1 begins in prime time, broadcast by Fox.
