MOTHER, MAY I SLEEP WITH DANGER?

James Franco has been promoted heavily as the ostensible “auteur” behind this remake of the 1996 tacky telemovie starring Tori Spelling. But he’s neither the writer nor the director here, just a supporting actor and the guy who contributed some story ideas – like, I’m guessing, wouldn’t it be interesting to turn the witches in a stage production of Macbeth into lesbian vampires? If you’re curious, you decide. Spelling is back in this one – but playing the Mother in the title, not the I.
