SEASON PREMIERE: Gotham was one of last season’s few bright spots from the broadcast networks’ crop of new fall shows, and Season 2 begins with the show, and its ambitions, bigger and better than ever. This new cycle is called “the rise of the villains,” and based on this year’s first two episodes, it delivers on that promise – while making Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) even more central to the overall story.
