Now here is a holiday weekend treat worth watching, especially if you can corral the whole family into sitting still for it. When I teach Film History at Rowan University, one of the great treats is to introduce many of my college students to the brilliant talents of so many wonderful film artists. Tune in to this 1974 compendium from the MGM studio, and you can do the same: Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Gene Kelly, Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, James Stewart… and on and on and on.
