Maybe there never will be a slow week in politics ever again – and the correspondents of The Circus keep rolling with the punches. Because of the pandemic, their start-of-week planning sessions, formerly held at some swanky or tacky eatery and filmed like a sort of food orgy, now are done remotely, with each of them literally phoning it in while engaging in a safely distanced meal for one. But they keep getting interviews, and scoops, and going where the news is. This past week, a lot of the news was in the frigid middle of the country – and you better believe at least one ring of this three-ring Circus will be devoted to the travel itinerary of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
