SERIES PREMIERE: Ryan Reynolds is one of the producers of this new ABC summer series, which is one of the more playful (and, one hopes, watchable) attempts by the network to pad out its hot-months prime-time schedule with cheap quiz and game show fare. And surprisingly, it’s an original idea, not a concept adapted from a crazily visual TV show from South Korea. (I’m talking to you, The Masked Singer.) The concept behind Don’t is to build elaborate tasks for contestants, based on phrases your parents were likely to warn you about as you were growing up. I’m not sure “Don’t run with scissors” is here, but “Don’t beat yourself up” is, as are “Don’t play ball in the house” and, of course, “Don’t play with matches” (pictured). Adam Scott hosts.
