ROB REINER DOUBLE FEATURE
March 31, 2020  | By David Bianculli

BBC America, 8:00 p.m. ET

Two outstanding movies directed by Rob Reiner, films that are very different in tone, are shown tonight as a prime-time double feature on BBC America. At 8 p.m. ET, there’s 1986’s Stand by Me, a very, very good movie adaptation of a Stephen King novel. Then, at 10 p.m. ET, Tom Cruise squares off against a steamrolling Jack Nicholson in 1992’s A Few Good Men, a very, very good movie adaptation of a play by another acclaimed writer – the then-little-known Aaron Sorkin.
