2019 WORLD SERIES
October 25, 2019  | By David Bianculli

Fox, 8:00 p.m. ET

Tonight is Game 3 of this already exciting and unpredictable World Series, with a change of both venues and rules. The first two games were played in Houston, where the Astros had not only the home-field advantage, but the extra advantage of playing under American League rules, which provides for the designated hitter rule. Now that the action is shifting to a National League venue, with the Washington Nationals playing host on their field, the NL rules apply – which means pitchers must take their turns at bat, which should be a slight advantage for the Nationals. A much bigger advantage: The Nationals won both of their away games against the Astros, and return to their home park with an already commanding 2-0 lead in this best-of-seven World Series.
