2019 MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL PLAYOFFS
October 10, 2019  | By David Bianculli

Fox Sports 1, 7:00 p.m. ET

Last night, the National League gave us two surprising, unpredictable Division Series games – games that decided which teams kept going in their hopes to play postseason baseball, and which ones packed it in for the year. Somewhat astoundingly, the dominant-all-season Los Angeles Dodgers lost its deciding Game 5 to the Washington Nationals, with a 10th-inning grand slam. And in another do-or-die NL Game 5, the St. Louis Cardinals trounced the Atlanta Braves, 13-1. Tonight, in the one remaining American League Division Series contest, there’s another Game 5, with the persistent Tampa Bay Rays fighting the heavily favored Houston Astros.
