MOVIES!, 8:00 p.m. ET

This 2011 movie by Martin Scorsese is an unabashed love letter to cinema and cinema history – and a delightful movie, which starts as a period comedy-drama about a small boy living surreptitiously in the bowels and belfries of a train station in Paris, and ends up being a sneakily disguised salute to one of the pioneers of the silent film movie era. Stars include Ben Kingsley and Jude Law, with Asa Butterfield as young Hugo, and Chloe Grace Moretz as the girl whose friendship provides him with a crucial part of his life’s puzzle.
