2013 WIMBLEDON TENNIS WOMEN'S FINAL
July 6, 2013  | By David Bianculli

ESPN, 9:00 a.m. ET

The opponents in this year’s women’s final at Wimbledon have gotten there through very different paths. Marion Bartoli (seeded No. 15) has had a relatively easy time of it, getting to the finals without losing a set. On the other hand, and on the other side of the net, Sabine Lisicki (pictured), seeded No. 23, has battled hard to make it this far, coming back after being down 0-3 in the third and deciding set to beat both Serena Williams (the No. 1 seed) and, on Thursday, Agnieszka Radwanska (No. 4). Whichever woman prevails, it will be her first major championship win.
