Last week, Frank (Wlliam H. Macy) and his doctor shared a very depressing prognosis – but it was for the young female doctor, not the beaten-up, often-near-death Frank. So he invited her to a day of hooky from the hospital, escorted her to the bar for a mid-morning drink, and ended up taking her on an all-night tour of defiance, anger and unexpected dignity. In other words – stop the presses – Frank actually was nice. But will it last?
