BULLITT
November 26, 2013  | By David Bianculli

TCM, 9:00 p.m. ET

By what seems to be sheer coincidence, this 1968 Steve McQueen classic movie is presented in prime time tonight by two different networks. It’s shown at 9 p.m. ET on TCM, and again at 10:15 p.m. ET on Sundance. During both showings, McQueen’s Bullitt, driving in San Francisco in one of the cinema’s most famous car chases, gets all four wheels of his automobile completely off the ground – sort of like the horse hooves filmed by Eadweard Muybridge in his pioneering 1878 motion study.
