ROAD TO MOROCCO
January 24, 2013  | By David Bianculli

TCM, 8:00 p.m. ET

This 1942 comedy, one of the very best of the Bob Hope-Bing Crosby road pictures, is a great place to begin if you’ve yet to see one of these. Be prepared for a very modern-feeling, fourth-wall-breaking romp. This time out, Hope and Crosby play stowaways who end up in a desert city, competing for the attention and love of a gorgeous princess. And that princess is played by Dorothy Lamour, so she’s worth the effort. Also co-starring: Anthony Quinn.
