MAD MEN
June 16, 2013  | By David Bianculli  | 1 comment

AMC, 10:00 p.m. ET

Face it: Last week’s shocker (which might be summarized safely as “What Sally saw”) was so unsettling that, to me, it instantly vaulted over every other TV stunner this season, including the "Red Wedding" of Game of Thrones. That’s why, when some people were complaining about the current season of Mad Men as being too slow, my inclination was to wait to see, because something big, most likely, was coming. Wow. And now what happens? I have no idea. But I’m there.

Um...yeah. Sally seeing what she saw was more shocking than the Red Wedding? Yeah...I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with you there.

I mean, I knew from season 1 that one of Don's kids would see this at some point, it was only a matter of time. The Red Wedding came out of no where and was a total punch in the gut. That stuck with people days after it happened.

Sally seeing what she saw? I was like "meh, surprised it took this long". You also don't see people's reaction videos of what she saw all over youtube either. :)

I'll meet you part-way: "Red Wedding" was shocking... for those who didn't read George R.R. Martin's novels.
