GONE WITH THE WIND
November 26, 2014  | By David Bianculli  | 1 comment

AMC, 8:00 p.m. ET

At one point in the mid-Seventies, NBC presented 1939’s Gone with the Wind as a two-night movie special, and set ratings records for a while. Now this epic Civil War drama just slides onto cable, relatively unheralded – but it’s always worth watching. Though, on AMC, you have to fight your way through an awful lot of commercial interruptions.

Never understood commercials during a movie on a self-proclaimed movie channel. IFC does this, too. Commercials during scripted shows are acceptable and expected. But, during a movie?
