THE DAVE CLARK FIVE: GLAD ALL OVER, A GREAT PERFORMANCES SPECIAL
April 8, 2014  | By David Bianculli  | 2 comments

PBS, 8:00 p.m. ET

This “British invasion” special looks at the Dave Clark Five, as well as other groups that rode the wave of Beatlemania in the Sixties and invaded the charts almost simultaneously. Clark’s group, in fact, was the next British group to be showcased on The Ed Sullivan Show after the  Beatles’ legendarily successful three-week stint in February 1964. Check local listings.

Wow!! Amazing documentary...I lived through those times, having been born in London, and while being a big fan, had no idea how multi-talented Dave Clark was and still is! A fab blast from the past and a must-see!!

Ah, the Dave Clark Five! I still remember an argument in 3rd grade between Beatles fans and Dave Clark fans. (I was incredulous that anyone would prefer the latter over the former!)
