BOSTON'S FINEST
February 27, 2013  | By David Bianculli  | 1 comment

TNT, 9:00 p.m. ET

SERIES PREMIERE: This new documentary series, whose executive producers include Donnie Wahlberg, plays like a real-life, Boston-set Hill Street Blues. Cops are seen on and off duty, doing everything from the mundane to the dangerous. And before sending his team out in search of a dangerous suspect who shot at one of the night duty cops a few hours earlier, one cop even gives the Boston equivalent of the old Hill Street “Let’s be careful out there” warning. Only this time, with a thick Boston accent, it’s a more concise “Be smahht.” For more on the show, including an interview with the show's husband-and-wife producers, see Eric Gould's Cold Light Reader.

LOVE this new series! So refreshing to see a police show that is real and not junk. The characters are amazing and very personal all which make this new series so great. Looking forward to future shows.
Thanks!
