2014 MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL PLAYOFFS
October 5, 2014  | By David Bianculli

TBS, 3:30 p.m. ET

If you’ve been watching these playoffs, you’ve been investing a lot of time – and emotion – already. Last night’s game between the Washington Nationals and San Francisco Giants ended up as the longest game in post-season major league baseball history – 18 innings, after the Giants matched the Nationals’ single-run score in the bottom of the ninth. Forget the players: It was an exhausting game to watch. Today, TBS presents both games, making it easy to find them. At 3:30 p.m. ET, it’s Game 3 of the Baltimore Orioles-Detroit Tigers contest, with Baltimore ahead in the series 2-0, with a shot at a series sweep this afternoon. Then, at 7:30 p.m. ET, it’s another Game 3, this one between the Los Angeles Angels and Kansas City Royals. And it’s another potential sweep, because the Royals have won every game so far.
