It’s a strange balancing act this series has pulled off, and no better than in this season’s current story line. We don’t want Elizabeth and Philip (Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys) to succeed in their anti-American missions – but when they don’t, we fear for and worry about them anyway. And with last week’s mission going very, very wrong, our emotional conflict continues.
