SERIES PREMIERE: This new anthology series, each episode of which stars different actors and tells of a different love story, presents eight episodes in this first season – and, like any anthology series, range in quality. But the umbrella premise is intriguing, and I’m a big fan of the anthology format. The first episode stars Cristin Milioti, who’s already scored big in another anthology series by starring in the
U.S.S. Callister episode of
Black Mirror, playing a young woman whose romantic prospects are complicated by her apartment building’s prying doorman. Other episodes feature such stars as Tina Fey and John Slattery, as a couple in therapy, and Anne Hathaway as a woman with bipolar disorder who tries to navigate the dating scene.
