SERIES PREMIERE: Carlton Cuse, one of the executive producers of
Lost, and Raelle Tucker from
True Blood are behind this American adaptation of the 2012 French series
Les Revenants, which was imported subsequently by Sundance Channel. This series follows the same blueprint, up to a point – according to Cuse, it begins to veer into its own territory around episode six. And though the original is smarter, more subtle, and flat-out better, this one, to the unitiated, is competent enough to hold interest. I strongly recommend, however, going to Netflix to watch the original, also known as
