One of tonight’s finales is the season ender of The X-Files, with the episode called “My Struggle IV.” And a concern, with this series that began in the 1990s and was recently revived, is that few people are following or caring about this show’s ongoing mythology episodes — to be able to recall “Struggle I” and “II,” or even to know to whose struggle it’s referring. SERIES PREMIERE: This new Syfy series provides a prequel to the Superman saga by setting a series on his home planet, a few generations before Superman, a.k.a. Kal-El, was born. Gotham has created a fine prequel series by taking the Batman story back to Bruce Wayne’s adolescence, but this allows the show’s writers to attack a basically blank canvas.
